Meet Laura Andrew

Meet Laura

Laura is a recent graduate of York University in Toronto and will join us this year in Indianapolis. She will work closely with our resident designer, Ian Garrett, and our participants to help design and develop the Umbrella Project and the Side Projects. We’re excited to have them this year. You can meet  Laura at our Open Lab on May 17 or in any of our community workshops (sign up here).

She is “a set, costume, and lighting designer from London, Canada. I just graduated from York University’s Theatre Production and Design program, with a minor in Environmental Studies. I also have experience in dance, most notably training in RAD ballet.”

“After my amazing experience at Indy Toronto there was no way I wasn’t going to be in Indianapolis. I am so ready to jump back into the craziness! My favourite thing about Indy is the dedication and openness of the artists. I hope to learn more about working in a professional theatre environment, as well as the Indy process. I’m looking forward to seeing the Convergence on a larger scale than the Toronto week-long convergence and to discovering the artists’ side projects. As a recent graduate I have so much more to learn about theatre design and development and Indy is the perfect place to do so.”
