Meet Maggie Sulc

Maggie Sulc will join Indy Convergence in Toronto this year. She’s leading a project and working closely with Ian Garrett on the Umbrella Project. Hailing from Tennessee and Texas, Maggie writes and dramaturges plays in
Toronto. She discovered theater when handed the reins of Rice University’s student-led theater troupe, the Rice Players, as a freshman and followed the new format for her creative writing through two original plays, somewhere never travelled and The Failures,
and then to graduate school at York University. After graduating with her MA in Theatre and Performance Studies last summer, Maggie discovered the Indy Convergence through fellow Rice Players alumnae, Ian Garrett. Over the course of the Convergence, she’ll assist with the outline and initial dramaturgy for Transmission. She’s also interested in
poetry in performance and theatre formats, unconventional adaptations, and is currently writing a horror play based on her own childhood fears: toys coming to life.
