"artists at work"
We search for the hidden point of convergence in artistic and local communities to collaboratively work toward a more equitable and creative world.
In Our Near West Neighborhoods
We live and work alongside our Haughville, Hawthorne, Stringtown, and WeCare neighbors, supporting arts programs that bring people together through shared creative experiences. We offer institutional resources for resident-driven projects that celebrate local culture, revitalize without displacement, and showcase the community’s vibrant talent and vision.
Artistic Exchange & Development
At the heart of our work with artists is The Convergence, our signature interdisciplinary residency. In the residency, we provide artists with the time, resources, and community to deepen their practice, take creative risks, and build lasting relationships. This approach ripples across all our artistic programs, projects, and collaborations, creating ecosystems where artists can explore bold ideas, develop their craft, and connect with peers across disciplines.
Impactful Partnerships
We thrive on collaboration, building meaningful, mutually beneficial relationships that leverage shared resources for greater impact. Together, we create more than the sum of our parts.
Professional Services & Resources
We offer equipment and space rentals (when available), as well as consulting services in areas such as artistic asset-based community development and our staff’s individual areas of expertise. We also consider values-aligned commissions. These services, available for a fee, help support our mission and assist other artists in realizing their creative vision.
The Convergence
The Convergence is our namesake artists residency designed to foster artistic development and exchange in an intensive, interdisciplinary environment. This two week, full-time program offers professional artists the time, space, and resources to step away from the pressure of producing a finished work and focus on exploring and expanding their creative vision.
A Rising Tide
This seasonal arts series brings mobile, non-invasive programs to unexpected places along the shores of the White River, our city’s most vital water source. Through a holistic blend of creative expression and environmental stewardship, A Rising Tide helps facilitate revitalization efforts that highlight the river as a dynamic confluence for creativity, connection, and conservation.
